Please join New York Neighbors for American Values for a roundtable discussion examining the impact and aftermath of the tragedy of September 11 on New York City and its diverse residents. Experts drawn from various organizations will explore the real New York response, as we have lived it, examining the mistakes that were made as well as the extraordinary spirit of cooperation that was revealed following the attacks. The discussion will include such topics as the effects of the tragedy on communities in downtown New York; the purpose of the rebuilding; lost freedoms; the aftermath of the tragedy for Muslim and South Asian communities in New York; and the role of the 9/11 families.
