Susana worked for more than 20 years at the U.S. Department of Justice, including 11 years in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division. Susana has litigated cases to enforce the minority language provisions of the Voting Rights Act, conducted Section 5 administrative reviews on bilingual ballots and redistricting, and managed federal election coverage of state and local elections. Susana has also enforced the Americans with Disabilities Act through her work in the Disabilities Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division. Before going to DOJ, she was a Pro Se law clerk in the Southern District of New York.
